omg, thank you so much for this review! As a retired psychotherapist in the U.S., and a grandmother, I actually recommended this damned book to my very smart teenage grandson. But the more I read, the more upset and annoyed I got, and I ended up asking my grandson to forgive me, because I made a very big mistake about this ridiculously simplistic and silly book. Humans are just much more complex than Thomas Erikson appreciates.

I received ”Surrounded by Idiots” this Christmas, but after reading about half a page, I seriously wondered who translated the book as my eyes were hurting from the poor translation. I could tell right away, that the outset – or rather the original language – was Swedish, and thus I hit Google to check whether I could find mentioning of e.g. ”The böök has been translated [in]to Änglish by the author himsälf …” And this search lead me to this very page here.
I’m a native Dane and my wife is Swedish 😉
P.s. I will abstain from reading the remainder of the book!

Glad I came across this article as it explains some of the questions I had after having read the book (and before attending the obligatory in-company training based on the ’method’)
